Great Locations in the Tulsa area for Couple’s Photos

Now, it’s no secret that I love love (cue “Inches and Falling” by The Format). I think it’s one of the most purest forms of emotion in the universe, and I love capturing that feeling with my camera between two head over heals individuals.

I also know that finding locations for photos can be one of the hardest things about photography so with that being said I made a handy nifty guide to some spots around Tulsa that could help with your next photo shoot. And with Valentines coming up next week it might be perfect for you, and your couple’s photo shoots.

Location One: Woodward Park

This was done out in the big open field at Woodward Park. This couple was so in love it made me sick.

This shot above was taken at sunset right by the bushes that’s right by the coy fish pond area. I love taking photos at sunset, and getting the couple sharing a kiss with the sun right in between them. It can be kind of tricky, but if you can get it right it can make an amazing photo.

Location Two: Steps at Woodward Park (Charles Faudree Memorial Pavillion)

I mean look at these guys! They’re so freaking cute and adorable and their love for each other makes me sick. If you go to where the rose gardens are/ coy pounds are you will find this area.

Location 3: Arch’s at Woodward Park (Charles Faudree Memorial Pavillion)

There are also some really sick arches over in the coy fish/ roses area, which are just great all around. Also, notice the leg pop? Clearly a scientific sign of being in love.

Location four: The Arches Under the 23rd Street Bridge

Another great place I love taking photos at are the arches under the 23rd street bridge in Tulsa! The symmetry is insanely eye pleasing? Also this couple are two of my really great friends, and also just look how freaking cute they are

This is the side of the bridge you want to go to. Just a warning there might be some homeless people there, 9 times out of 10 that I’ve been there there hasn’t been anybody under the bridge.

Location Five: Sandy Beach Under the 23rd Street Bridge

It’s hard to believe that you can get beach like settings in Tulsa, but you can! These were done at sunrise so that might be part of the allusion, but still really pretty photos can be produced here. Also, have I said how stunning my friends are?

Location six: On the 23rd street Bridge with the University Club Apartment behind the subjects

This is one of my favorite spots of Tulsa when I’m driving into town. It just looks so cool, and pleasing to the eye. You can find this on the 23rd street bridge. There’s normally a parking lot right next to it. You will have to walk up a hill so just to warn you about that

Location 7: Downtown Tulsa in front of the Roppongi wall art

God, this couple of just so freaking cute. There’s a ramen shop in downtown Tulsa called Roppongi, which has this awesome wall art side outside of it. Definitely a killer place for vibrant photos, and this photo is also a banger if you put it in Black and White

Location 8: Downtown Tulsa on Boston Ave.

This street is like an art deco aficionado’s dream come true. This of course would be Boston Ave. in downtown Tulsa, which I think is one of the must locations for photos in Tulsa if you’re couple is into that kind of thing. Also, have I told you that I have some beautiful friends? Because it’s true!

Location 9: The Gathering Place in front of the Coy Fish Pond on the lower level of the Williams Lodge

Another incredible spot for photos in Tulsa is the Gathering Place. This place has so many textures, and back drops it’s a photographer’s paradise. This has to be one of the favorite photos I’ve taken there. I mean just look at how in love they are! These are guys loved to dance so I just had them dance, and I let the camera roll.

Location 10: The Gathering Place, and the path to the ONEOK Boathouse.

Another favorite photo I have is these two sharing a smooch on the path to the ONEOK Boathouse. The Boathouse is one my favorite things to blur, and there’s a really cool bridge in front of it that gives you great photo options. Basically, the Gathering Place is hands down one of the best spots in Tulsa for photographers.

As you can see, there are a ton of options for some super cute photos in Tulsa. In fact these 10 examples were just within probably 5 or 7 miles of each other. I have a way more comprehensive list of spots you can check out here.

If you made it this far then thank you for reading this!
